The Virgo Firenze – Urbino group is formed by physicists, astronomers and engineers of the University of Urbino and INFN – Firenze. The group is among the founders of the Virgo Collaboration since its creation in the early 90’s; it is currently involved in experimental activities concerning the construction of Advanced Virgo, data analysis and Gravitational-wave astronomy.

The Virgo Firenze – Urbino group participates to the joint analysis activities of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration and the Virgo Collaboration, which have agreed to a complete sharing of data and analysis resources.
